Located in Iowa's Des Moines River Valley, Seven Oaks Ski Area has more than 150 acres of challenging terrain, with a ski season that stretches from the beginning of December through the middle of March. This recreation area features a recently renovated ski lodge that overlooks the facilities terrain park, ski runs and snowtubing slides. Seven Oaks opened its doors to the public in 1999 and has served as a popular ski and snow destination for central Iowans ever since. With snow-making capabilities and more than 80 percent of the ski runs rated blue or black diamond, Seven Oaks offers a formidable challenge for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.

Book Accommodations Near Seven Oaks

Step1

Find accommodations near the Seven Oaks recreation area. The nearby towns of Boone, Ames and Madrid offer inexpensive chain hotel accommodations and moderately priced bed and breakfasts.

Save time by purchasing lift tickets in advance of your trip. Daily, weekly and season passes are available online through the Seven Oaks Ski Area Web site (see Resources below).

Fly into Des Moines International Airport, located approximately 50 miles from Seven Oaks.
Step3
Make your way from I-235 E toward I-35 N. Take I-35 N approximately 25 miles before merging onto US-30 W. Seven Oaks is located four miles west of Boone, Iowa, on Highway 30.
