Tamarack Resort in Idaho is a relatively new ski resort, but it has developed a devoted following among locals in the west central portion of the state. The 2,800-foot vertical drop is a big reason why this fledgling resort has become a success.

Book Accommodations at Tamarack Resort

Step1
Book rooms on-site at Tamarack Resort easily online (see Resources below). Be sure to call directly at (866) 649-6903 if you're intending to make last-minute reservations.
Step2
Take advantage of some of the available lodging packages on the Web site for the Tamarack Resort. While offers change from season to season and week to week, there's usually some money-saving package to be taken advantage of.
Step3
Book elegant, lodge-style accommodations near Tamarack Resort. While prices will often be less than at the resort itself, they'll still be somewhat expensive.

Organize Transportation for a Ski Trip to Tamarack Resort

Step1
Fly into Boise Airport from destinations as close as Salt Lake City and Walla Walla and as far away as Chicago and Phoenix. From the airport, you can take a trip on an Express Airport Shuttle Service all the way to Tamarack.
Step2
Drive yourself into Tamarack Resort or book a seat aboard the Tamarack Resort Express bus and enjoy a relaxing and scenic ride with coffee and snacks. If you decide to drive, note that Tamarack is just east of I-84 and within miles west of Highway 55.

Know Your Destination

Step1
Explore all the wonders of Idaho's Payette River mountain by visiting the expansive and luxurious Tamarack Resort. Considered a luxury destination within Idaho, Tamarack offers world class skiing.
Step2
Ride over 35 trails winding down and through the Tamarack Resort ski area, which rises to a summit of 7,700 feet from the base elevation of 4,900 feet above sea level. The total acreage available for skiing exceeds 850. You'll also find seven lifts that take from 1 to 8 minutes to ride.
Step3
Enjoy a less-crowded ski trip at the Tamarack Resort due to the fact that they limit the amount of skiers to only 2,000 a day. If you are a novice, you will have 15 percent of the trails to yourself, while 56 percent are for intermediate skiers and 29 percent are for advanced level skiers and snowboarders.
Step4
Purchase a cheap daily lift ticket for your child between the ages of 7 and 17. An adult pass is also relatively affordable. College students, seniors and military personnel can get lift ticket discounts. Price differences depend on what time of the year you are buying the tickets.
