Visit the Idaho Division of Tourism Development Web site (see Resources below) to find and book lodging for your ski trip. You can also call the department at (860) 567-4506 for more details.

Consider bunking in Wallace, known as the only town in the United States that is entirely recorded on the National Historic Register. Due to this, Wallace hotels will cost a little more than Kellogg digs.

Book a hotel or bed and breakfast within 15 miles of Lookout Pass. Bed and breakfasts in the area vary from very economical to elegant and plush. Some of the most luxurious accommodations will be found in nearby Wallace.

Drive to Lookout Pass by taking I-90, which runs right by the ski resort and on the border of eastern Idaho and Montana.

Pack your things and head to Lookout Pass from many cities strung along the I-90. From Spokane or Missoula, the drive is only around 100 miles. From Wallace, you will arrive within 20 minutes or less. Driving from Kellogg, Idaho will take you about 30 minutes.

Embrace the unique environment at Lookout Pass brings. As you ascend the mountain on the Idaho side, you will be gradually brought to the other side of the mountain, which sets you down in the state of Montana.

Enjoy the 400 inches of snow that falls onto Lookout Pass, Idaho as you slalom through your ski trip. With 23 runs, tree skiing and two glade areas, there are plenty of acres to cut a swath across, hit big air or slowly trundle down the mountain.

Make sure to note the hours of operation before you book your ski trip to Lookout Pass. It is open from Thursday until Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except on the weekend, when it opens at 8:30 a.m.
