Wolf Creek, Colorado is made for every level of skier. With a good mix of difficult and beginner-friendly trails and a 1,604 foot drop from 11,904 feet, Wolf Creek is an ideal middle ground for skiers of all levels.

    Book a Ski Trip to Wolf Creek

  1. Step 1

    Choose from accommodations on the west or east sides of the mountain. Wolf Creek's Web site has extensive listings in all price ranges (see Resources below). Accommodations include friendly bed and breakfast inns, remodeled homes, secluded condos and, of course, hotels and motels.

  2. Step 2

    Call accommodations providers directly using the numbers on the Wolf Creek Web site to book lodging. Find more accommodations online by visiting the Colorado Tourism Office Web site (see Resources below) and following the links to local hotels that appear when you do an accommodations search. You can also call (800) COLORADO for info.

  3. Step 3

    Purchase lift tickets on-site but preview the rates on Wolf Creek's Web site. Season passes are also available for purchase. Discounted rates are given to seniors, students and children. Planning your trip during the week can also save you some money.

  4. Step 4

    Find a daycare center for your child(ren) under four years of age. Wolf Creek does not have a daycare facility on-site, but they do provide a list of recommended daycare providers on their Web site.

  5. Step 5

    Travel to Wolf Creek in a pack of 25 or more to receive special group discounts.

    Book travel through Denver or Colorado Springs, both within four hours from Wolf Creek. From Denver take Highway 285 to Highway 150. From Colorado Springs take Highway 25 to Highway 150. Wolf Creek is located between the towns of South Fork and Pagosa Springs.

    Visit Wolf Creek's Web site for a detailed snow report. You can also call (800) SKI-WOLF. Find out the status of each lift and which areas of the mountain are open to skiers.

  9. Step 2

    Take a lesson at Wolf Creek's ski school. Tickets for school are only available on the day of instruction at the ticket office. View current rates online.

  10. Step 3

    Rent the equipment you need to conquer the mountain. Wolf Creek offers standard ski and snowboarding equipment. Demo skis are also available if you want the latest in ski equipment technology.

  11. Step 4

    Download and print Wolf Creek's trail map and set out on the slopes.
