Step2
Keep an eye out for lodging vacation specials offered by Winter Park. Available accommodations may include budget rates at resort hotels, inexpensive one-bedroom slopeside condos or deals on studio condos in town.
Step3
Save money on lift tickets by calling (800) 729-7907 at least 24 hours before your scheduled trip. Discounted tickets are also available online if you book at least 48 hours ahead of time.
Step4
Purchase a season pass if Colorado is your winter home. Call (800) 296-9524 or buy your pass online.
Step5
Browse Winter Park's Web site for a full listing of ski school programs. Adults and kids alike can spend a day learning the slopes. Book online at least three days in advance or call (800) 729-7907 at least a day in advance.
Step6
Travel to Winter Park from the airport in Denver, Colorado, which is about an hour and a half away. The major roads in are I-70 and US 40. You can also enjoy the Ski Train that goes from Denver to Winter Park.

Hit the Slopes

Step1
Read the detailed snow report online at the Winter Park Web site so you know what you're getting yourself into. You may have gotten lucky with inches upon inches of new powder!
Step2
Check trail and lift status online at the Winter Park Web site. Your favorite trail may be down for the day or the lift to take you there may not be operational. Plan your day right by keeping yourself informed.
Step3
Look at Winter Park's trail map online or download and print it to stuff in your pocket. Use the trail and lift status to mark off your map so you know how to navigate the mountain when trails and lifts are closed.
Step4
Reserve your rental equipment in advance. Call (800) 979-0328 or rent online ahead of time to save some money.
