Step1
Call the Mt. Shasta Chamber of Commerce and Visitors' Bureau at (530) 926-4865, ext. 203 to book accommodations. You can also reserve accommodations on their Web site (see Resources below).
Step2
Find and book your accommodations through the Mt. Shasta Ski Snowboard Park Web site (see Resources below). Hover over the “In Town” link on the Web site’s main page to find the “Lodging” link.
Step3
Book a room in one of Mt. Shasta's five local bed-and-breakfast inns. These small inns offer anywhere from 3 to 11 rooms, and prices are moderate to downright inexpensive.
Step4
Rent a cabin at a campground at the base of Mt. Shasta for more rustic lodgings during your trip. You may also book space for your RV at a number of area campgrounds.
Arrange Transportation to Mt. Shasta
Step1
Find Mt. Shasta in Northern California, close to the Oregon state border. This resort is within 100 miles of Medford, Oregon, and the closest major city in California is Redding, within 65 miles.
Step2
Travel along Interstate 5 to Highway 89 to reach Mt. Shasta. Take the highway 7 miles east and turn left onto Ski Park Highway. You will find the resort about 5 miles ahead.
Plan Your Ski Trip to Mt. Shasta
Step1
Pick from four chairlifts when you begin your day of skiing. You can purchase lift tickets for a full day, half-day and even night skiing at Mt. Shasta Ski Park. The lifts start at 9 a.m. and extend until 9 p.m. on scheduled night-skiing days. The schedule is available on the resort's Web site.
Step2
Book a season pass for Mt. Shasta and you may receive discounts on tickets at participating ski parks throughout the U.S. Season passes must be picked up at the park during the winter season. You will need to present a valid form of identification and have your photo taken, as well as sign a release to receive your season pass for Mt. Shasta.
Step3
Take a turn on the terrain park opened by the resort in 2006. This site features a super half-pipe and is also open during night skiing.
Step4
Put your skills to the test on 10 black diamond trails during your trip to Mt. Shasta. You will also find snowshoeing trails and low-speed-enforced ski areas for beginners.
