1. Buy your tickets seven, 14 or 21 days in advance. You will most likely be given discounted rates.

2. Plan your schedule accordingly so that you have an overnight Saturday stay; this usually drops the cost of your round trip ticket.

3. Visit the company Web site (see Resources below) to book travel on Mesa Airlines.

4. Bring your pets. A pet weighing less than 70 pounds will cost you $50.00 to take on the plane. If your pet is over 70 pounds, you will have to pay $50.00 each way.

5. Join the Mesa Airlines Frequent Flyer Program. Collect 16 one-way stamps and you can get a free round trip ticket.
