How to Book Travel on Swiss International Air Lines

Swiss International Air Lines was formed in 2001 after other Switzerland based airlines collapsed. Called Swiss for short, it services destinations around the world. Its main base is in Basel, with hubs in Zurich and Geneva. Swiss owns one subsidiary airline called Swiss European Airlines. Swiss itself will be completely bought out by the end of 2007 by Lufthansa.

Book Your Flights on Swiss International Air Lines

Step1
Visit the Swiss International Air Lines Web site (see Resources below). Fill in the "Book Your Flights" box with the requested information, including departure and destination cities and the dates you want to fly.
Step2
Select a flight from the results screen. Finalize your booking by giving your credit card information.
Step3
As an alternative, you could book by phone at (877) 359-7947.
Step4
Get an eticket to avoid losing or forgetting your paper ticket. These are forwarded electronically to the airport you're departing from.

Learn About Swiss International Air Lines

Step1
Take Swiss International Air Lines to the United States or Canada. Flights will take you to Montreal in Canada, or to Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Boston or New York City in the United States.
Step2
Fly to countries in East Asia. The airline serves Hong Kong, Tokyo in Japan, Mumbai in India, Singapore and Bangkok in Thailand.
Step3
Visit the Middle East. Regularly scheduled flights can take you to Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Step4
Travel to Moscow or Istanbul. These are the only cities Swiss flies to in Russia and Turkey.
Step5
Take one piece of luggage weighing no more than 8 kg or 18 lb as a carry-on. First class and business class are allowed two pieces weighing no more than 8 kg each.
Step6
Check with the airports of departure and your final destination to be sure that you understand the current security policies.
