    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Computer with Internet access
    • Passport
    1. Book Your Ticket for Travel on Viking Airlines

      • 1

Book your tickets by visiting the Viking Airways Web site (see Resources below). You can also contact them directly by calling 011 (+46) 8 564 711 00.

      • 2

Tickets on Viking Airlines are generally reasonably priced. Prices may increase during peak travel periods.

      • 3

Read through the carriage conditions to find out whether you can change the details of your booking. You may have to pay an additional fee if you want to change the name on your ticket or the date of your flight.

      Determine Your Departure City

      • 1

Depart from either Sweden or Greece. You can choose to leave from Stockholm, Athens or Thessaloniki.

      • 2

Find out about other departure cities when you charter a flight. You might be able to take advantage of some of the more obscure airfields in Sweden and Greece when you charter your own flight. Ticket prices can increase significantly for this service and added convenience.

      Prepare for Your Journey

      • 1

Plan to arrive at the airport no less than 1 hour before your flight leaves. Passengers who intent to check in baggage should arrive no later than 90 minutes before departure.

      • 2

Watch how much you pack. Viking Airlines has a weight limit of 20 kg or 44 lb for checked baggage and 5 kg or 11 lb for hand luggage.

      • 3

Call a Viking Airlines representative well in advance for special or oversized baggage fees and reservations. The exact charge for your baggage will depend on exactly what and how large it is.

      • 4

Come prepared to eat. All passengers on Viking flights lasting more than 3 hours will be served a hot meal.

    Tips & Warnings

    • All phone numbers include the United States international prefix "011." When calling internationally outside the United States, check the prefix before dialing.

    • Booking online is the fastest way to get reservations and a confirmation number.

    • Know that the Swedish word for Athens is "Aten."

    • There is no service between Athens and Thessaloniki with Viking Airlines. The company only offers flights between Sweden and Greece.
