Things You'll Need:
- Passport
- Visa
-
Step 1
Call LatCharter at 011 (+354) 5050-333 to book your flight, or contact a travel agent. Neither the LatCharter Web site nor the parent Web site of Loftleidir Icelandic offers online booking.
-
Step 2
Anticipate flying aboard an Airbus A320, a state-of-the-art, medium-sized passenger plane with a capacity of 150 travelers. LatCharter's fleet consists of two Airbus A320 planes.
-
Step 3
Consider your own custom destination. You can book LatCharter's fleet at your discretion to destinations within Europe, northern Africa and Asia for business and VIP class travel.
-
Step 4
Familiarize yourself with the seasonal destinations offered by LatCharter airlines. In the winter season, travel to Tenerife in the Canary Islands, the Egyptian beach of Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh (the "City of Peace") and the dazzling United Arab Emirates capital of Dubai. In the summer season, travel to the coastal resorts of Turkey and Crete, primarily to Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman and Heraklion--all of which feature impressive archaeological ruins.
-
Step 1
Make travel arrangements to Riga, Latvia. All LatCharter flights originate from the Riga International Airport. Larger European and Russian cities have connecting flights to Riga.
-
Step 2
Check in at least 2 hours before your flight. All planes flying out of Riga International Airport undergo a deicing and ice-prevention treatment so that vital mechanisms like the aircraft wings and tail do not freeze during takeoff and increase the risk of crashing.
-
Step 3
Brush up on your Latvian. The attendants, staff and Latvian citizenry are more likely to speak Russian as a second language than English.
-
Step 4
Pack according to security guidelines adopted by the European Union, which are available via Riga International Airport's Web site.
