Instructions

Things You'll Need:

Book Your Tickets on JAL Express

  1. Step 1

To book your JAL Express flight, call JAL from your cell phone at 011 (+81) 0570-025-071 or from a landline at 011 (+81) 0120-25-5971. To book travel online, visit the JAL Web site (see the Resources section below).

  2. Step 2

Look for flight availability on the JAL Web site. Flight numbers with the JEX prefix on the left are JAL Express flights.

  3. Step 3

Use your credit card to purchase your tickets. Choose to have JAL create an e-ticket for you or have the company mail a traditional paper ticket to your home address. You must have this information with you to gain admittance through the gate.

  4. Choose a Departure City With JAL Express

  5. Step 1

Look for useful travel information on the JAL Web site, including information about exciting World Heritage destinations.

  6. Step 2

Select your city of departure from Japanese cities served by JAL Express, including Kobe, Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Nagoya, Oita, Osaka, Sapporo, Sendai and Tokyo.

  7. Step 3

Realize that not all flights are direct. For instance, you must travel through Sendai to reach Sapporo Chitose.

  8. Know JAL Express Travel Policies

  9. Step 1

When you board the plane, you can bring only one carry-on. It cannot weigh more than 10 kilograms (15 pounds).

  10. Step 2

Observe the restrictions on luggage size; no bag should be more than 45 x 35 x 20 centimeters.

  11. Step 3

Read the security and travel tips before leaving for your flight. Security rules can change daily.

Tips & Warnings
  • 011 is the dialing prefix used for telephoning abroad from the United States. If you're calling from another country, check which international dialing prefix to use. All country codes are within parentheses and begin with a “+” sign.
  • Get electronic tickets when you book online. Unlike paper tickets, you cannot misplace or forget electronic tickets.
  • Book your accommodations through JAL at the company's Nikko Hotels International. You can find a link on the JAL Web site.
