Air Nippon was founded in 1974 as a subsidiary of the All Nippon Airlines (ANA), but did not adopt its current name until 1987. The carrier provides economical flight service to many smaller airports on the various isolated islands of Japan. In addition to its domestic routes, Air Nippon currently flies to the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan.

1. Book your Air Nippon tickets by phone at 011 ([phone] or online at the ANA Web site (see Resources below). ANA handles all of Air Nippon's itineraries. You can upgrade your seat up to 1 hour before the flight.
2. Get your reservation in early online but pay at your leisure, since you do not need to pay for your ticket until you arrive at the airport. You can obtain your ticket from a vending machine or at the counter once you arrive at the airport.

6. Take an international flight to the city of Taipei from either Tokyo Narita or Nagoya Chubu airports. Air Nippon offers 4 flights a day to Taipei.
