How to Book Travel on Indian Airlines

Indian Airlines is one of the few airlines to offer special dollar-based fares for overseas customers. Indian Airlines is India's largest airline and flies to 64 national and 16 international destinations. Here's how to book a seat.

  1. How to Book Online Travel on Indian Airlines

      Visit the company Web site to book travel on Indian Airlines (see Resources below) or call (800)180-1407.

      Click on the "Overseas Passengers" section on the home page to peruse the wealth of specials, promotions and discounts available to non-residents. Specifically, check out the holiday packages.

      Click on the "Online Booking" icon once you've gone over all of the discounted fares and specials.

      Enter your origin and destination cities along with your desired travel dates. You can have your fare displayed in either rupees or US dollars. Select the "Lowest Available" option to search for the lowest fares or choose "All Fares" if specific travel dates are of more importance to you.

      Select your desired flight schedule and proceed to the Passenger Information page. Once you've entered all of your contact information, click on the "Click Here to Register" icon and select your method of payment. This will book your reservation. An airline representative will contact you to verify your information and reservation.

      Purchase your ticket online with a credit card or in person after landing in India from any Indian Airlines office or agent. You can also purchase your tickets by demand draft through a Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, Union Bank of India or Bank of India account.

      Call or visit an Indian Airlines booking office or approved travel agent in India or abroad. The airline has nearly 1,600 approved travel agents worldwide.

      Purchase your tickets using cash, credit or debit card. Reasonably priced fares are usually standard on this airline.

  • Use the Internet to book up to 5 seats (3 adults, 2 children, 2 infants).
