    Book Travel on Comores Aviation

  1. Step 1

Discover if they're the right airline to serve your needs. If you can read French, you can explore their Web site for yourself (see Resources below). If you can't, work with a travel agent.

  2. Step 2

Contact a local travel agency to book your tickets. You should ask about special travel packages. Often, Comores Aviation creates unique travel bundles with discounted prices.

  3. Step 3

Expect prices for tickets on Comores Aviation to be reasonably priced for nearly all their flights.

  4. Step 4

Call 011 (+269) 733 400 to talk to the Manager of Operations about the booking process.

  5. Get Ready for Your Flight on Comores Aviation

  6. Step 1

Relax on one of the small propeller-driven Let L-410 airplanes, or a larger BAe 748 jet airliner, on your 30-minute flight between Grand Comore, Moheli and Anjoran Island in the Comoros.

  7. Step 2

Choose a Robinson Clipper R44 helicopter flight to experience the scenery differently as you travel between the islands.

  8. Explore the Comoros Islands

  9. Step 1

Investigate one of Comores Aviation's safari packages to Zanzibar if you're able to extend your visit.

  10. Step 2

Swim in the warm, naturally-protected waters off the beach at Trou du Prophete on the main island of Grand Comore.

  11. Step 3

Attend an evening show of the native dancers at one of the resort hotels on La Galawa beach for a taste of Comoros culture.

Tips & Warnings
  • All phone numbers include the U.S. international prefix "011." When calling internationally outside the United States, substitute that "011" with "00."
  • All country codes are within parentheses and begin with a "+" sign.
  • Be aware of the many long delays caused by security on the various island airports. Give yourself plenty of flexibility in your itineraries.
  • Comores Aviation does not currently offer an English-language Web site or phone number through which you can book tickets and make reservations.
  • By booking online, you can enjoy the convenience of printing receipts and purchase confirmations immediately for your records.
  • Always ask permission before photographing people in the Comoros. For the many followers of Islam on the Comoros islands, unsolicited photography can be extremely disrespectful.
  • As in most nations of Africa, the Comoros does have incidences of malaria. It's important to schedule all your vaccinations at least one month before arriving. You should also bring a sufficient amount of malaria tablets.
