Designed for transporting people and cargo between the 3 islands of the Comoros, Comores Air Services uses 2 small Let Kunovice L-410 prop planes as its fleet. Comores Air Services can also be used to fly to the nearby French-claimed island of Mayotte, making this airline one of the very few ways to get to there, as well as to the nearby islands of Madagascar and Zanzibar on the eastern African coast. Follow these steps to book your seat.

Tips & Warnings

  • Comores Air Services does not currently offer an English-language Web site. Nor does it have English-speaking agents available over the phone.
  • By booking your trip arrangements online, you can ensure that your credit card information is going to be secure.
  • Comores Air Services made the EU Blacklist in 2006 as 1 of 92 airlines in the world not allowed to land in European airports because they do not meet international safety standards.
  • Insist on drinking only bottled water while in the Comoros. There's a high possibility of parasites in the local water supply.
  • Avoid taking pictures of the natives of Comoros without asking their permission first, especially women. Many of the people there are Muslim. Taking pictures without consent is considered disrespectful.
  • Malaria is a problem on the Comoros islands. You should receive vaccinations from your doctor at least one month before your trip. Make sure you also bring malaria tablets.
