Things You'll Need:
- Passport
- Computer with Internet access
-
Step 1
Book your train tickets by visiting the RailEurope Web site. See the Resources section below for a link. You can also call (888) 382-RAIL.
-
Step 2
Select your class of service. In Amsterdam, there is little difference between first- and second- class tickets, but if you are traveling during peak hours, you will definitely have more space.
-
Step 3
Decide between a one-time travel ticket or a pass. There are different passes available, depending on your citizenship, so read all purchase tickets before you book.
-
Step 4
Choose a sleeper car for maximum comfort. You will first have to buy a standard ticket, then make your sleeper reservation.
-
Step 5
Avoid the slower Poland trains since this is a lengthy journal. Book Express trains through Germany, and purchase a direct ticket from a city such as Berlin straight into Amsterdam.
-
Step 6
Make note of younger or older travelers, as well as large groups, as you may receive a discount.
-
Step 1
Arrive at the Poland train station well in advance.
-
Step 2
Find the platform that matches your train number, located on the yellow signs, and wait for its arrival.
-
Step 3
Board the train. Red is first-class. Green is second-class. Leave luggage in the carts located in the front of each car.
