Step1
Find and book a room online through the Official Tourism Site for Malta. See the Resources section below for a link. You can also call 011 (+356) 22915000.
Step2
Relax in luxury accommodations close to the entrance of beautiful Valletta and Floriana. Experience fine dining at the hotel restaurants. Enjoy such offerings as heated pools, mini golf and beautiful gardens.
Step3
Consider accommodations a little further inland. Expect amenities such as air-conditioned rooms, meeting facilities, on-site restaurants, bars and coffee shops.

Make reservations at a luxury hotel that overlooks the Grand Harbour for breathtaking views as well as spacious rooms.

Stay in a guest house or hotel located near Valletta's bus terminus if you plan to explore other areas of Malta by bus.

Prepare for Your Hotel Stay

Check visa and entry requirements. Citizens of certain countries can visit the country without a visa if their stay will be up to three months. Citizens of countries who don't fall into this category will need to apply for a visa before they visit.

Travel with a valid passport, although citizens of a few countries can actually enter Malta with a passport that expired within the last year to five years.

Arrive by car, bus or boat. You can take a Maltese-style gondola to Valletta from Vittoriosa.

Tour Valletta on foot, by bus or on horse cart. The horse carts are called Karozzin.

Exchange your dollars for Maltese Lira. Banks are open every day except Sunday. You can also use the Exchange Bureaux at the airport or your credit cards.

Learn a few phrases of Maltese, it is the official language. English and Italian are also widely spoken.

Visit St. John's Cathedral, a dedication to the Knights of St. John. The walls and ceiling are painted with scenes from events in the life of St. John. The best time to visit is during summer or at Christmas.
