Find Luxury Accommodations

Step1
Stay at the Hotel Cleopatra, a four-star property centrally located in Nicosia. Rates are moderate and rooms tend to be fairly simple, clean and comfortable. Call 011 (+357) 22 671000 to book your room as the hotel does not have a Web site.
Step2
Book lodgings in a ski chalet near Cyprus' Troƶdos Massif to escape from the crowded tourist venues. The accommodations should be comparable to American lodges.
Step3
Explore Byzantine and Roman ruins in Salamis. Stay in a luxury beach hotel nearby, but expect a pricey tab for your accommodations.
Step4
Have a drink at a bed and breakfast near the vineyards in Kolossi. Be sure to visit the castle nearby.
Step5
Select a suite at a luxury resort in Nissi Bay. Ask for a room with a view of the Mediterranean Sea.
Step6
Pick your own breakfast from fresh fruit trees on a luxury resort plantation. Ask the front desk to arrange a picnic lunch for your party.
Step7
Book rooms at a well-known international chain hotel. There are several American chains represented in Nicosia, all with moderate rates. Try Archbishop Makarios Avenue for the highest concentration of these hotels.

Arrive in Nicosia

Step1
Fly into Larnaca or Paphos International Airports.
Step2
Hail or book a taxi with an experienced Cyprus driver, but remember to hold on tight, as most taxis do not have seat belts.
Step3
Travel on foot in Nicosia. Visit old Nicosia to go shopping on Ledra and Onasagorou streets and bring your walking shoes, as both these streets are for pedestrian traffic only.
