How to Make a B-52

The B-52 is a bomber of a drink as it combines three tasty liqueurs into one sweet shot. When prepared properly, there is a layering effect of the liquids. So, get ready to take off and make a scrumptious B-52.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 oz. coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz. amaretto
  • 1 oz. Irish cream
  • 1 oz. Irish cream
  • 1 oz. coffee liqueur
  • Spoon
  • 1 oz. amaretto
Step1
Find a clean and empty shot glass at least 3 oz. big.
Step2
Pour in one ounce of coffee liqueur and let it settle.
Step3
Get a chilled bar spoon or teaspoon.
Step4
Slowly pour one ounce of Irish cream over the back of the spoon and into the shot glass.
Step5
Wash the spoon with cold water.
Step6
Pour one ounce of amaretto over the back of the spoon and into the shot glass very carefully.

Tips & Warnings

  • The ingredients can also be mixed together over ice for a nice after dinner drink.
  • Do not pour the liquor in without cascading it over a spoon, otherwise you will not get the unique horizontal layering effect.
