How to Make a Strawberry Daiquiri

The strawberry daiquiri is a version of the original daiquiri drink, which is made with limes instead of sweet strawberries. A bar called the Venus in Santiago, Cuba is credited with inventing the drink in the early twentieth century. Read on to learn how to make a strawberry daiquiri.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 frozen strawberries
  • 1 1/2 oz. rum
  • 1 cup ice
  • Dash of lime juice
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 1 fresh strawberry
  • Dash of lime juice

  • 6 frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 1/2 oz. rum
  • Pinch of sugar
  1. Step 1

    Combine the frozen strawberries, rum, lime juice, sugar and ice in a blender.

  2. Step 2

    Blend the ingredients at high-speed until smooth.

  3. Step 3

    Pour into a decorative glass.

  4. Step 4

    Make a small slice from the tip of the fresh strawberry to its center, and use it as a garnish.

Tips & Warnings
  • The daiquiri can be made with nearly any fruits. You can replace the strawberries with peaches, mangos or anything you choose.
  • Rim the glass with powdered sugar for an even sweeter treat. Or, top with whipped cream.
  • If the concoction is too thick, add a few splashes of water or more rum, to smooth it.
  • Don't drink and drive.
  • Be sure to cover the blender.
