The Mojito is a Cuban drink made with limes and mint to mask the taste of its main ingredient, rum. This drink was a favorite of American novelist Ernest Hemingway. Read on to learn how to make a refreshing Mojito.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • 3 oz. rum
  • 3 mint leaves
  • Club soda
  • Dash of lime juice
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • Ice
  • Dash of lime juice
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3 oz. rum
  • 3 mint leaves
  • Club soda
  • Ice
Step1
Muddle two mint leaves, dash of lime juice and sugar in the bottom of a tall glass.
Step2
Fill the glass with ice.
Step3
Pour in rum and a dash of lime juice.
Step4
Top the glass with club soda.
Step5
Garnish with the last mint leaf.

Tips & Warnings

  • Fresh mint leaves are integral to this drink.
  • Serve in a tall slender glass for best effect.
  • Don't drink and drive.
