The national drink of Brazil, the Caipirinha is a smooth drink made with a brandy called Cachaca. To add flair to your party or barbecue, make a Caipirinha as it goes great with most meals. Read on to learn how to make a Caipirinha.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 1/2 oz Cachaca
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 6 peeled lime wedges
  • 1 unpeeled lime wedge
  • 2 1/2 oz Cachaca
  • 1 unpeeled lime wedge
  • 6 peeled lime wedges
  • 2 tsp. sugar
Step1
Muddle the sugar and lime in a rocks glass.
Step2
Add ice. Pour in the Cachaca.
Step3
Stir and garnish with a lime wedge.

Tips & Warnings

  • Vodka or rum can be substituted for the Cachaca.
  • If you have no actual limes, lime juice can also be used.
  • Don't drink and drive.
