No tequila? No big deal, make a non-alcoholic watermelon margarita instead. If you have the other ingredients on hand you can still enjoy that south of the border flavor. Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 cups watermelon
  • Lime juice
  • Lime
  • Sugar
  • Coarse salt
  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • 4 cups watermelon
  • Sugar
  • Lime juice
  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • Coarse salt
  • Lime
  1. Step 1

De-seed a slice of watermelon. Slice the watermelon in slices about as thick as your thumb so you can easily get the seeds out of the fruit.

  2. Step 2

Cut limes into wedges. Set aside the wedges to use as a garnish.

  3. Step 3

Put four cups watermelon and four cups ice cubes to a blender.

  4. Step 4

Add lime juice, coarse salt and sugar to taste. Start with small equal amounts of each and sample the mixture. Once you have a specific ratio of these ingredients you like, write down the amounts.

  5. Step 5

Blend mixture until smooth. You can cheat a little by starting with shaved or crushed ice.

  6. Step 6

Pour mixture into a mug. Garnish the mug with a wedge of lemon.

Tips & Warnings
  • This drink can be frozen for later use or you can serve frozen as a non-alcoholic watermelon margarita frosty.
  • Consider sticking the mugs in the freezer for a few hours before use. Chilled mugs really add to the experience, especially on a hot day.
