Instructions

    • 1

Peel several lemons, but do not discard the rinds. Chop the fruit into large chunks and remove any seeds.

    • 2

Slice a lime into wheels. Set aside the wheels to use as a garnish.

    • 3

Put 4 cups chopped lemons and 4 cups ice cubes into a blender. Using a coarse setting, grind up the fruit and ice.

    • 4

Add lime juice, coarse salt and sugar to taste. Start with small, equal amounts of these ingredients and sample the mixture as you go.

    • 5

Use a finer setting on the blender to blend the ingredients until smooth. The consistency of the finished non-alcoholic lemon Margarita resembles a slush.

    • 6

Pour mixture into a mug. Arrange a long, narrow strip of lemon peel on the top of the beverage, and then garnish with a lime wheel.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make a non-alcoholic Margarita like a pro. Chill your mugs before use. The frost can also help you rim the edges of the mugs with salt or sugar.

  • You can also blend all of the ingredients except for the ice together and then pour the mixture over shaved or crushed ice.

  • This results in a very tart drink. Consider adding more sugar to the finished mixture.
