Music stirs people’s minds, hearts and souls. If you’re serious about music and considering buying a specialized music cell phone make sure you do the research and compare cell phones that play music first. Research each wireless service provider to see what they have to offer you. They will have different plans and phones to choose from. Here are some steps to follow to help you compare cell phones that play music.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  1. Step 1

Choose a wireless carrier. Talk to friends and family about how well they like their service. Maybe one of them has tried more then one service provider. They will know how well each provider functions in your area.

  2. Step 2

Select a phone which has all the features you are looking for. Besides wanting to listen to music, do you want to take pictures with your cell phone? Compare each feature on the different cell phones they have available.

  3. Step 3

Match your phone to your download service. If you have an investment in iTunes downloads, you need an iTunes compatible phone. If you use Sony’s Connect service, you will need a Sony Walkman phone.

  4. Step 4

Test the phone for a few days to see if it is the one you want. Most service providers will allow you to return the phone if it doesn't function properly. Since service providers rely on cell towers, make sure the phone you have chosen works in your area.

  5. Step 5

Don’t buy the cheapest phone. You will probably keep the phone for at least a year, so it would be worth a few extra bucks to get a nicer one.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make a list of which providers and cell phones that play music that you like. Research each on the Internet. This will help narrow it down to the one that is right for you.
