Verizon offers many Personal Digital Assistants. With a variety of options and accessories to choose from, it's a good idea to compare Verizon Wireless PDAs before you buy. The manufacturer's Web site provides an excellent source of information which includes price, accessories and options available.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  1. Step 1

Jump online and go to the Verizon Wireless homepage (see Resources below). The page has several flash animations, so it might take a little time to load.

  2. Step 2

Select "Phones" from the list on the "Get Started" tab. This tab is located on the left side of the screen about halfway down. "Phones" is the second option on the list.

  3. Step 3

Enter your zip code or use the "Select Country" option. Many wireless service websites request this information. It enables them to determine what products and services are available in your area. If you're shopping for someone else you can always enter his or her information instead of yours.

  4. Step 4

Select the second tab from the left when the "Phones and Devices" page loads. The tab is labeled "PDA and Smartphones," and will load a page containing a list of all available product options including those of other manufacturers.

  5. Step 5

Check the box next to each Verizon branded device. You can narrow your search by brand using the site's search engine, but there are several non-PDA options that pop up, so your best bet is to scroll through the brands and just check Verizon models.

  6. Step 6

Scroll back up to the top of the list and click the "Compare" button. The site provides a side-by-side comparison of the models that you've selected.

  7. Step 7

Take notes on each item and compare each model to your needs and price range.

Tips & Warnings
  • When the comparison listing pops up, you can click any of the features highlighted in blue for a brief description of each feature. This will help you understand some of the more complicated features and options of each phone.
  • Use the "Select Features" tool to narrow down your search. This helps to eliminate options that you don't want or need, and will help you to avoid wasting money on features you're not going to use anyway.
  • Keep in mind that the manufacturer's/service provider's Web site may not provide completely balanced information on its products. While it provides the easiest side-by-side comparison of its models, it's still a business that wants to sell you its products.
  • If you choose to make a purchase, keep in mind that there may be certain rebates and discounts that apply only to online customers.
