How to Change a User's Privileges on Vista
The User Account Control feature protects your computer from unauthorized changes that could destabilize your system. This protects Windows Vista from malware and spyware as well as accidental settings modifications. Being able to change a user's privileges on Vista is a great feature to have for any machine connected to the Internet or any household with kids.

Tips & Warnings
You can perform administrator tasks from a standard or guest account by typing in an administrator password.
To enable or disable a guest account, access the accounts as in step 2 and then click the Advanced tab. Click Advanced | Users and then double-click Guests. Check or uncheck the "Account is disabled" box.
Windows Vista Starter, Windows Vista Home Basic and Windows Vista Home Premium cannot disable guest accounts.
Guest and standard accounts still have access to the network and the Internet and can shut down the computer, so keep it disabled when it is not in use.
