How to Identify your Partner’s Foreplay Buttons

Finding that spot that turns your partner on can be one of the trickiest parts to figuring each other out sexually. Really, though, it all comes down to communication; watch for your partner's signs and signals.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Condoms or dental dam for oral sex
Step1
Remember that everyone is different. What turns you on may not do the same for someone else.
Step2
Begin with standard foreplay: kissing, teasing, touching.
Step3
Listen for your partner’s reactions. Be aware of your partner's body movements.
Step4
Move onto oral sex if you’d like. Again, listen and watch for reactions.
Step5
When you hit your partner's "foreplay button," you will know it—their breath will become short and shallow and/or their skin will flush and become warm.

Tips & Warnings

  • Shallow breathing, warm skin or flushed skin is a sign of being turned on.
  • Personal lubricant may be needed during female foreplay. If her vagina is dry, add a dab of lube.
  • Deep, even breathing may be a sign your partner is asleep—stop what you are doing and try something else!
  • Use a condom or dental dam for oral sex if you are not in a monogamous relationship with your sexual partner.
