Whether you are gay or lesbian, or just support the rights of your fellow human beings, and you live in San Diego, you can celebrate gay culture by attending a pride festival in that city.

1. Visit the Website for San Diego Gay Pride or the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) to find events in the San Diego area and join the advocacy community (see Resources below).
2. You don't want to drive during the festival when parking is scarce. San Diego has an excellent mass transit system, but you might enjoy traveling around the city on its famous trolley. This is also a first-rate bike-riding town, boasting over 300 miles of dedicated bike paths.
3. For accommodations, you might try Harbor House Resort, Hillcrest Inn, Beach Place, Sommerset Suites Hotel or the historic Park Manor Suites.
4. You can sample a taste of San Diego nightlife at great clubs and bars such as Moby Dick's, The Loft, Cheers, Greystoke's, Pecs and The Caliph.
