Things You'll Need:
- Internet access
-
Step 1
Visit the Website for Los Angeles Pride or the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) to find events in your area and join the advocacy community (see Resources below).
-
Step 2
If you wish to volunteer, perform, set up an exhibit or simply march in the parade, you can fill applications (PDF format) on the Los Angeles Pride Web site.
-
Step 3
For accommodations, contact any of the three hotels that are official sponsors for the event: Valadon Hotel, Soffitel Hotel and Resorts, or Le Parc. For discounts and package deals, visit Travelocity, an official event sponsor, online.
-
Step 4
Forget about driving, parking will be scarce and costly. Choose accommodations near the events so you can walk or rely on mass transit. MTA runs all of its lines on a 24-hour schedule during the festival. The DASH shuttle stops at most major points in the area and you can always find a taxi. A cab ride to or from the airport should cost between $30 and $40.
