Things You'll Need:
- Internet access

Step 1
Visit the Website for Pride (Fierte) Montreal or the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) to find events in your area and join the advocacy community (see Resources below). You can enroll on the mailing list for Pride Montreal.
-
Step 2
Bring your dancing shoes. Music is one of the big attractions on Pride Day in Montreal. Concerts feature artists from every musical genre including classical, jazz, hip-hop, rock, Latin, pop, funk and world.
-
Step 3
Check out the sights and sites. Montreal's Pride Festival is noted for its drag queen competitions, photo exhibits and mini-film festivals. Almost all of these events occur outdoors (weather permitting) and admission is usually free.
-
Step 4
Pretend you're in Brazil. The Montreal Gay Pride parade is noted for its exuberant participants and they celebrate in a style reminiscent of Mardi Gras. Be prepared to let yourself go.
