Things You'll Need:
- Transportation
- Tickets
-
Step 1
The summer months are the best time to catch a concert outdoors. Travel between May and August and base your visit around a couple of featured events.
-
Step 2
Find out what you can bring. Some places let the beer flow while others keep it family-friendly by banning alcohol. Most places let you bring a cooler, but have size restrictions. Ask about restrictions when you call for tickets or check the venue's Web site.
-
Step 3
There's a humongous Amphitheatre down at the Gorge. Check the Web site for travel and accommodation deals as well as ticket and event information.
-
Step 4
The Northwest Open Air venue hosts a series of outdoor concerts during the summer at Marymoor Park. The Web site has brief bios of performing artists and ticket information.
-
Step 5
See what's playing at the White River Amphitheatre. Located on a beautiful Indian Reservation, this Amphitheatre is only a short drive from Seattle. The Web site provides driving directions and tickets.
-
Step 6
Get prime seating. When seating is on the lawn, you'll want to show up early and get dibs on a stellar spot. Bring a picnic to pass the time while the band sets up.
