The Oregon coast offers Pacific ocean beaches. In addition, the state has a number of reservoirs and state park beaches. As a result, there are plenty of options available if you are looking to find a quiet beach in Oregon.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Looking for a nice Pacific beach? Consider Ona Beach State Park on Highway 101 south of Newport, Oregon. You'll be able to find the right spot for a family picnic or a quiet afternoon on the beach.
Step2
If you're looking for a quiet beach in Central Oregon, consider going to the Prineville Reservoir at Jasper Point. You'll be able to find a quiet beach, rock formations, desert space and lake swimming.
Step3
Looking for a quiet beach in northern Oregon where you can sit and watch the waves? The Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area is a place that you should definitely check out. Not only will you be able to see the waves, but there is also fishing, sand dunes and a boat ramp.
Step4
If you are looking for a quiet beach in southern Oregon, consider going to Alfred A. Loeb State Park, off of Highway 101 northeast of Brookings, Oregon. You'll be able to find a quiet riverside area of beach amidst the trees.
Step5
Also on the south coast of Oregon is Sunset Bay State Park, also off of Highway 101. There, you'll find beaches--including quiet ones--and hiking, camping and swimming.

Tips & Warnings

  • Most beaches are at their quietest in the mornings and the evenings, so if you want to be sure that you'll have quiet space to yourself, consider going at these times.
