1. Discover the coves along Lake Nickajack. Near Chattanooga, while there are no sandy beaches to speak of, there are large rocks that are great for sunning and plenty of privacy for swimming in the nude. The only drawback is that you’ll need to canoe or kayak to these areas.

2. Visit the Land Between the Lakes at the border of Tennessee and Kentucky. With more than 500 miles of shoreline and plenty of space for naturists, the area is becoming increasingly popular for those who like to enjoy the outdoors in the nude. You can get there by taking US Route 79 south from Dover, Tennessee.

3. Consider booking a trip to the Timberline Resort if you are looking for nude lake swimming and a relaxing time. Miles of hiking trails, lake and pool swimming and nudism come together at this resort in Crossville, Tennessee.

on 7/22/2009 There is evidence that Timberline is a lifestyle venue rather than nudist. Looks like Danny and Dianne(new owners) are very active in the swinger circles. An acquaintance went to the Swing Lifestyle website and found their profile. Their email prior to the opening of Timberline was CUTECOUPLENDEED, which is their swinger ID as well. Their profile and testimonials were attached to the email I recieved. They have 11 galleries of photos as well. Not for the faint of heart. But, this is proof-positive that they are swingers. I personally don't care what they do, but it frustrates me that they are lying about it. Both my acquaintance and I have ten emails or more of them stating "we are NOT swingers!!!"

on 6/15/2009 Timberline nudist park has recently reopened with new ownership and is not the G-rated venue most nudists would visit. Only adults are welcome there and they are not affiliated with either of the two national legitimate nudist organizations: American Assn. for Nude Recreation (www.aanr.com) and The Naturist Society (www.naturistsociety.com). The only actual nudist park in TN is Rock Haven in Murphreesboro, TN.
