How to Find a Nude Beach in Oregon

If you want to find a nude beach in Oregon, start out in Portland. Here are some tips.

Instructions

1. Rooster Rock State Park has one of Oregon's two recognized nude beach areas. To get there, start in Portland and head east on I-84.

2. After 22 miles, take Exit 25 and take a slight left into the park.

3. Park your car and walk east along the beach until you reach the clothing optional area.

4. Not interested in Rooster Rock? Try Collins Beach on Sauvie Island. Start in Portland and go north on Interstate 5. Get off at the exit for St. Helens and keep going northwest along St. Helen's Rd until you reach the Sauvie Island Bridge.

5. Cross the bridge, taking an exit that loops underneath to head onto the island. Follow Gillihan Rd until it ends and turn right onto Reeder Rd. Follow signs for Collins Beach.

• Can't get to either of the official nude beaches in Oregon? Consider visiting one of the nudist hot springs or resorts.
• Keep in mind that families visit nude beaches. Follow all posted rules and act respectfully.
• Nudity is not appropriate on state-sanctioned areas until you have passed signs reading “Entering Clothing-Optional Area.”
