While far from oceanfront, Indiana offers a number of ways for nudists or naturists to enjoy the great outdoors. Here are some details for naturist recreation areas, including nude beaches, in Indiana.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first place to consider is the Lake of the Woods Club. The 20-acre lake has two nude beaches to choose from, as well as a number of other activities.

  2. Step 2

The beaches at the Indiana Dunes National Park are used, on occasion, by nude sunbathers and swimmers. Just be sure to find a secluded area and be prepared to slip something on if necessary.

  3. Step 3

Granger, Indiana is home to the Sunny Haven nudist colony. Activities vary from swimming and camping to potluck dinners.

  4. Step 4

Find the Drakes Ridge Rustic Nudist Retreat in Bennington, Indiana. Easily reached from Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky, you'll be able to enjoy swimming and sunbathing among other activities.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consult the American Association for Nude Recreation (see Resources below) for more information.
  • Nudist resorts are not clothing optional. Activities are only to be experienced in the nude.

on 6/18/2009 Some clubs are clothing optional. Each sets its own guidelines. The only places in which you must be nude are the pool and hot tub should the venue have these ammenities.
