Step1
Check with your romantic partner’s boss to schedule leave time, if the getaway is to be a surprise.
Step2
Ask your friends, family and your partner’s work colleagues to help keep the surprise.
Step3
Decide how much money you can afford to spend.
Step4
Choose a destination—find out what Islands your partner has always wanted to visit and see if any arel within your budget.
Step5
Make sure you and your partner have valid passports if your destination is overseas.
Step6
Find out what types of activities are offered at your destination and make any necessary reservations, such as for dinner or for shows or cruises.
Step7
Enjoy your getaway!

Tips & Warnings

  • Routine passport application takes approximately six weeks. You can also pay extra to get an expedited passport that will arrive within two weeks of getting in all of the information required.
  • If the getaway is a surprise for your girlfriend or spouse, have one of her friends do the packing or tell you what to put in her suitcase.
