A camping trip to the remote wilderness of Katmai National Park and Preserve in Alaska will give you access to hiking, boating, camping and fishing, not to mention a chance to kick back with family or friends without any of the normal day-to-day distractions. Katmai is famous for its volcanoes, brown bears and crystal-clear rivers and lakes. You might even catch a glimpse of a bear fishing for salmon at the park's splendid, tumbling Brooks falls.
