A trip to the Ultra Music Festival is a foray into techno and Electronica music. This largely outdoor festival sends booming bass up and down the Floridian coast while thousands dance along. Plan a trip to Miami's Ultra Music Festival.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Transportation
  • Tickets

Step1
Check out the DJ list. Go to the official Web site and see who is spinning, who is performing live and who you want to see.
Step2
Search online to find samples of the music from the artists you do not recognize on the DJ list.
Step3
Make your own list. Undoubtedly, there will be plenty of artists you will want to see perform, so make a list of your top contenders.
Step4
Check the stages. On day one there are three stages; on day two there are nine. See where and when your artists are playing, and find out if any of the performances conflict with one another.
Step5
Stay flexible. When your friends want to see a performance you are unfamiliar with, check it out. Part of the fun of the festival is discovering new music.
Step6
Get your tickets as soon as you can. Two-day passes sell out very quickly, and single day passes often sell out shortly thereafter.
Step7
Get accommodations early. Hotel rooms do not sell out as quickly as tickets, but you might be left with only the most expensive rooms if you wait too long.
Step8
Arrange transportation. Book your airfare and rental car. Or, find some friends to carpool with if you live close enough.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Ultra music festival also happens in Sao Paulo, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles and New York. Attend one of these locations if it is more convenient.
