Some people describe this position as the best thing that can happen between the sheets. It's a fairly athletic position, and if you can pull it off, you're sure to enjoy yourselves. Follow these steps to perform the butterfly sexual position.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Condoms
  1. Step 1

Start with some foreplay. Both partners should be fully aroused before attempting the butterfly.

  2. Step 2

Position the woman. The woman should lie on her back on a bed or other surface. This surface should be slightly lower than the man’s hips when he's standing.

  3. Step 3

Position the man. The man should stand between the woman’s legs.

  4. Step 4

The man should lift the woman, with his hands on her butt, up to the level of his hips. Pushing forward, the man should penetrate the woman.

  5. Step 5

Try different leg positions. The woman can put her legs wherever they are comfortable. Try draping them over the man’s shoulders or around his back.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are the man, make sure you have a good hold on your partner so that she does not fall.
  • Position pillows around the area just in case someone falls.
  • Use condoms to reduce the risk of pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
