Bonny Doon Beach is well known for its nude event held every New Year's Day. You will find a clean beach where dogs are allowed and whale watching is a possibility. However, the weather is often cold and cloudy. In addition, there have been numerous reports of assaults after dark. The beach does mainly consist of nude sunbathers except for people standing on cliffs with binoculars hoping to catch a glimpse of said nude sunbathers. Otherwise, the beach is a friendly place during the day. You can reach Bonny Doon by heading towards Davenport on CA 1. Look for milepost 27.6.
