Things You'll Need:
- Written eHow article
- Computer
- One of the following: Camcorder or digital camera, webcam, cell phone with video capability
- A friend or tripod to hold the camera (if not using webcam)
- Good lighting
-
Step 1
First pull up the eHow articles you have written and published. Voila! You have a script for your eHow video! You might want to start with the simplest ones - to keep your video easy to shoot.
-
Step 2
Set up everything you will need to film your eHow. For example, if your eHow is a recipe, lay out all the ingredients and have the final product prepared for your grand finale.
-
Step 3
Next, if you are not a video editor (which many of us are not), try to plan your filming in one shot. If this requires some minor re-working of your eHow, then go ahead and take some creative license.
-
Step 4
Now it's time to shoot your eHow video. You can use your digital camcorder, digital camera, your webcam or a mobile phone with video capability to shoot video footage.
-
Step 5
Once you have shot the video, hook up your device to your computer (you webcam will already be attached). Every device is different, but pretty much each camcorder requires you to download software from a CD included in the packaging that will enable you to upload what you have shot.
-
Step 6
If you are a video editing afficionado, then go ahead an splice & dice.
-
Step 7
Log into your eHow account and pull up your eHow article.
-
Step 8
You will see that after the Introduction section and before the Article Body section is a link to Upload Video. Click on this link.
-
Step 9
A window will come up that will allow you to pull the video from a file on your desktop, your camcorder, your webcam or your mobile phone.
-
Step 10
Once you have uploaded the video, you will see that it has been added to your eHow article. CONGRATS!

on 10/14/2009 I made a series of videos for my subject and would like to know how to upload more that one. When I select choose video it acts like it will let me select a new one, then after double clicking it...nothing. It just goes back to the edit page. When I click save and continue it does not save the new video at all. I have seen other how to's with numerous videos ....how'd they do it? Thanks terrielynn1960@aol.com

on 8/20/2009 Thank you SO much for telling me how to add video to my ehow article. I did this backwards; the video is produced. So now I have to fit the article to the video! The main thing is now I know how to add my video to my ehow article! 5*****

on 7/12/2009 My question is can I just upload videos without writing all (at lease) 3 steps. Actually, I want to upload the video that only show all my craft projects, which I can't explain all steps yet. I saw some of the videos that has no text at all. I wonder how they do that?

on 7/6/2009 Oh Pooooo,
I got all excited, composed a detailed How To article and now I can't find the magic Upload button? I Guess the beta still needs tweaking. Hope it happens soon. IMO, having and (article & video) is an ideal combo!
Go Quinn Go!

on 7/6/2009 Muy bien, a well written article. The one thing I might add to your piece would be to include video MB size limits that my exist. Other than that, this is exactly what I was looking for.
