Plan a romantic dinner at home for your wife as often as you can. It is quick, easy and the benefits that you will reap (other than making your wife a happy woman) are ample. Just follow these steps to get started.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Think about your wife. What does she want? What would make her melt? Think about the kinds of food and the kind of atmosphere that will really light her fire.

  2. Step 2

Plan a menu. Choose foods that you know your wife will love. It doesn't have to be stereotypically romantic. Some woman love a candlelit Italian dinner.

  3. Step 3

Pick where you will dine. Obviously, you are at home, but where will you be at home? On the porch? Under the stars? In the back seat of a classic car in the driveway watching a movie on the siding?

  4. Step 4

Plan the surprise. How are you going to get her out of the house, and how will you time her getting back? The best bet is to enlist one of her friends to distract her for a preset amount of time.

  5. Step 5

Plan the after-party. After the dinner, it is best to have some idea about what to do or where to go so that you are not left in a very unromantic stall.

  6. Step 6

Make a list. Write down (well in advance) all the materials you'll need to pull off your evening. Think of food, clothes, media (videos or music) and any other props you'll need.

Tips & Warnings
  • Plan everything revolving around your wife.
  • Don't cook anything too heavy or with too many courses. This could lead to what is commonly called a "food coma," and could render both of you sleepy and sluggish for the rest of the evening.
