Lake Tahoe is the best area for nude beach sunbathing.

Secret Cove near Sand Harbor is a good place to start. It is a well-established nude beach. Because this beach is so popular, it is crowded in the summer. In recent years, reaching this beach has become much safer. Back in the day, visitors had to park on the highway and then cross the road. Now, there is a parking lot available, and visitors can reach the beach via the fire road.

Secret Creek Beach has a loyal following. There is more recreation here than at Secret Cove. Visitors often find volleyball and paddleball games. In addition to nude sunbathers, clothed visitors come here as well. This area is not too far down the coast from Secret Cove.

Chimney Beach is near Incline Village. This beach has been around for quite sometime and is still popular today. Unlike Secret Cove, however, this beach still requires parking on and then crossing the highway.

Try Whale Beach or Sierra Hot Springs if you want to get away from the crowds of these three beaches. These beaches are not easy to access, but they are beautiful and much more private. The mountains and forests are both beautiful to view from these beaches.
