The scissors sexual position can be a very comfortable position for both the man and woman if they carefully adjust the placement of both partner’s legs.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

    Perform the Scissors Sex Position—Woman

  1. Step 1

Remove panties and any clothing covering your vagina.

  2. Step 2

Lay on your side with legs apart slightly.

  3. Step 3

Prop yourself up on one arm or lay flat on your side. You may also prop your waist up with a pillow under your side.

  4. Step 4

Adjust your legs so that your bottom leg is in between your partner’s legs and your top leg is draped over his side or held up.

  5. Step 5

Prepare yourself as your partner lays perpendicular to you and penetrates your vagina.

  6. Step 6

Use your fingers and hands to stimulate your clitoris or breasts or your partner’s scrotum, penis or anus.

  7. Perform the Scissors Sex Position—Man

  8. Step 1

Remove underwear to expose your erect penis.

  9. Step 2

Lay perpendicular to your partner on your side.

  10. Step 3

Position your legs in a “scissor-ed” fashion, with your bottom leg under her bottom leg, your upper leg between her legs. You should have a view of her buttocks and back and your legs should create a 45 degree angle toward her head.

  11. Step 4

Insert the penis into your partner’s vagina.

  12. Step 5

Allow your partner to adjust so you are not putting too much pressure on her lower leg and drape her upper leg around your waist. Then begin thrusting.

  13. Step 6

Caress, grab or slap your partner’s buttocks. Alternatively, you can stimulate her anus with your fingers.

Tips & Warnings
  • The scissors position is compatible with vaginal or anal sex as well as homosexual partners.
