How to Perform the Coital Alignment Sexual Technique

The coital alignment sexual technique, often referred to as CAT, is a relatively easy position, providing plenty of face to face contact and superb clitoral stimulation. It is a variation of the missionary position. This position can be performed on a bed, floor or just about any other surface. Very little flexibility is needed.

Perform CAT—Woman

1. Remove panties and any clothing covering your vagina.
2. Lay on your back on a bed, floor or other surface.
3. Bend your knees and spread your legs a little more than a shoulder-width apart.
4. Help your partner align and insert his penis into your vagina.
5. Wrap your calves over your partner’s thighs.
6. As your partner begins to thrust vertically, you may stimulate your partner’s scrotum, penis or nipples with your free hands.

Perform CAT—Man

7. Remove pants and underwear to expose your erect penis.
8. Approach your partner on your knees after she is in position, with her knees bent and legs spread.
9. Align your penis with her vaginal opening and insert.
10. Lean over your partner and hold yourself up with your hands placed on either side of her.
11. Thrust vertically rather than horizontally to stimulate your partner’s clitoris with the length of your penis.
12. Encourage your partner to stimulate her breasts or your scrotum, penis or nipples with her free hands.
