After a beautiful ceremony, delicious cake and dancing the night away, your wedding night will be the perfect ending to the day of your dreams. If you spend a little extra time planning your wedding night, you'll be sure that it will meet all of your expectations.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hotel reservation
  • Transportation from the reception to the hotel
  • Mood music (optional)
  1. Step 1

Have romantic transportation to the hotel from your wedding reception. You can hire a limousine, horse-drawn carriage or other special vehicle.

  2. Step 2

Book a hotel room. Find a special room that has features like a king-sized bed or a hot tub.

  3. Step 3

Order a bottle of wine or champagne to be chilling in the room when you arrive.

  4. Step 4

Confirm the reservation about a week before the wedding to make sure that you have your check-in date and time correct.

  5. Step 5

Bring a CD player and romantic music to play instead of turning on the television.

  6. Step 6

Leave your cell phone, pagers and other devices at home or turn them off.

  7. Step 7

Exchange wedding gifts with one another if you so choose.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to put the "Do not disturb" sign on the door and ask the front desk to hold your calls!
  • Consider renting the room for two nights so that you don't have to rush to leave the next day.
  • To prevent travel woes, stay in a hotel room in town for your wedding night and leave for your honeymoon the next day or later that week.
  • If this is the first night you will be physical together, make sure you have talked about it ahead of time and are prepared so that you are not nervous or embarrassed.
