The armchair sexual position takes you off the bed and onto a piece of furniture, which can be a fun way to spice up your sexual routine. Here's how to perform the armchair sexual position.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Water-based lubricant
  • Condom
  1. Step 1

Position yourselves so that the woman is sitting in an armchair with her arms and legs wrapped around the man, who is kneeling in front of her.

  2. Step 2

Place the tip of the man’s erect penis at the opening to the woman’s vagina and insert slowly. Her opening should be wet enough to allow for easy penetration.

  3. Step 3

Push in slowly at first to ensure that everything is comfortable and painless for both of you.

  4. Step 4

Move in and out at a pace that is comfortable for you both until one or both of you feels like stopping or switching to another position.

Tips & Warnings
  • The armchair position can also be executed on a bed, if you're feeling gymnastic and the woman has enough arm strength. In this case, the man sits on the bed with his legs outstretched and his arms bracing his torso upright. The woman hooks her legs over his shoulders and holds herself up by bracing her arms behind her. Then get some penetration going and let the rhythm carry you away.
  • Stop if either of you feels any pain. The position might be too deep or the groin area might be too dry. If the woman is not lubricated enough for easy entry, use a water-based lubricant such as KY Jelly or Astroglide.
  • While orgasm is the ideal conclusion, it will not necessarily happen every time, especially for the woman.
  • Always use a condom for protection against unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
