In the woman-on-top position, the woman can control the depth and speed of penetration, which is more comfortable for some women. The woman can sit up “cowgirl” style or lean forward or back to produce different sensations and levels of penetration. Here's how to perform the basic woman-on-top sexual position.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Water-based lubricant
  • Condom
  1. Step 1

Position yourselves so that the man is lying in a comfortable position on his back on a bed or other surface.

  2. Step 2

Place the tip of the man’s erect penis at the opening to the woman’s vagina as she maneuvers above him and straddles him. Insert slowly. The opening should be wet enough to allow for easy penetration.

  3. Step 3

Push in slowly at first to ensure that everything is comfortable and painless for both of you.

  4. Step 4

Move in and out at a pace that is comfortable for you both.

Tips & Warnings
  • Stop if either of you feels any pain. The position might be too deep or the groin area might be too dry.
  • If the woman is not lubricated enough for easy entry, use a water-based lubricant such as KY Jelly or Astroglide.
  • While orgasm is the ideal conclusion, it will not necessarily happen every time, especially for the woman.
  • Always use a condom for protection against unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.

on 9/15/2008 It is best to get your knees up as far along his side as comfortable for both of you. Then it is easier to go back & forth as long as you lean back with your hands on his thighs. Go for it!
