Have an extra ticket to a sold-out show but don't know what to do with it? On eBay, there's always someone who wants to buy something--tickets are no exception.
Visit eBay (see Resources below) and click the "Sign in" link to access your account. If you don't have an eBay account, click "Register" and follow the instructions. There are a few hoops to jump through but the process won't take long at all.

Click on the "Sell" link. The site will walk you the process of creating a sales page. Enter as much information about your tickets as you can, including seat and section numbers, start time, venue location and a list of the opening bands. Include a picture of the tickets. People like to see exactly what they're buying. If possible, also obtain a non-copyrighted photo of the band to post on your sales page.

Monitor the auction as it progresses. Use the "My eBay" link for easy access to sales page.

Mail the tickets promptly once you receive payment. The buyer will be asked evaluate you as a seller; slow service will earn you a poor vendor's rating.
Tips & Warnings
Make sure accurately enter any ticket information. Errors and typos can undermine buyer confidence.
Set up a PayPal account. You want to make the payment process easy; With PayPal you don't have to wait for checks to arrive and clear and you can mail the tickets to the buyer on the day of the transaction.
There is a fee for listing items on eBay. Add the fee to the price you paid for the tickets when you determine a selling price.
Don't set the minimum-bid too low. When the auction ends, eBay obligates you to sell the tickets for the winning bid.
